RIT Memorial Scholarship as of June 2, 2011

Charles J. “Chuck” Pease, Jr.

Endowed Memorial Scholarship at RIT

Chuck Pease received his associate’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems in 1977 and 1982 from Rochester Institute of Technology. Chuck was a brilliant man who loved music and movies and was passionate about life. With Chuck’s sudden passing in 2010, a scholarship has been created in his memory by the many contributions received from his family and friends, including his “extended Cisco Systems family”.

The Charles J. “Chuck” Pease, Jr. ’77 ’82 Memorial Scholarship is established to provide financial support to students in RIT’s Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences (GCCIS) with preference for students who have graduated from Eastridge High School in Rochester, NY, or who have performed a Co-op with Cisco Systems.

We are pleased to announce that, as a result of many generous donations and the matching gifts from Cisco and other matching gift companies, the scholarship fund has reached the desired goal of $25,000! The funds will be invested and the interest will be awarded to a student on an annual, ongoing basis, permanently in Chuck’s memory.

Scholarship support is vital to helping RIT thrive. Scholarship funds provide our creative, hardworking students with what is often a life-changing opportunity. In today’s competitive college environment and uncertain economy, it is more critical than ever that RIT have funds available to assist as many of our students as possible. With your gift, you are helping us to recruit and retain the best and brightest students, whom will be the future leaders in their chosen career fields.

Again, RIT would like to thank all who have contributed to this effort.

Regards,
